Quarry dust masonry blocks are expected to be more affordable and environmentally benign than their rival options. Therefore, the present study emphasizes the combined use of quarry waste (100% substitute for river sand) and fly ash (0, 10, 20, 30 and 40% substitute for cement) for sustainable masonry block production.
بیشترinvestigated the influence of 100% replacement of sand with quarry dust. Initially cement mortar cube was studied with various proportions of quarry dust (CM 1:3, CM 1:2, and CM 1:1). The experimental results showed that the addition of quarry dust for a fine to coarse aggregate ratio of 0.6 was found to enhance the compressive properties as ...

بیشترThe use of waste quarry dust to partially replace river sand was investigated ( Gopalakrishnan et al., 2020) by studying the effects on the properties of lightweight foam concrete at five contents, starting at a 10% replacement and up to 50% replacement at 10% increments, in mixtures with only cement included as binder.
بیشترThe mortar with the optimized properties contained particles between 2.4 mm and 0.15 mm (G2.4). The less emissive mortar was G2.4_100, which reabsorbs 63% of all the carbon dioxide released in production. The mortars with 100% replacement have a less emissive balance, and the replacement level increases the amount of CO 2 …
